An Ontario teenager has been arrested after allegedly stealing $46 million from one individual in a large cryptocurrency rip-off in the US.

Hamilton police announced the arrest on Wednesday after a joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the US Secret Digital Crimes Process Power that start in March 2020.

In response to police, the sufferer had been focused by a SIM swap assault, a way of manipulating mobile community carriers so scammers can intercept two-factor authorization requests.
